It is not uncommon for men to have concerns about the size of their penis. We live in a society that has many cultural messages about a bigger penis is better. Men often under-estimate their own size and over estimate others size. Sometimes comparisons are made with another flaccid penis which does not indicate the size of the erect penis. Concerns with penis size, can affect not only sexual desire, arousal and performance, but also influence other aspects of our life (e.g., not wanting to participate in team sports).Concerns with penis size are found in men of all ages. It is not just a young man’s problem! When working with men with issues around penis size, I explore your thoughts, beliefs, perceptions and feelings through a cognitive-behavioural approach. Therapy is part educational as well as dealing with the how you think/feel about your genitals.
