Profile

Lily is a psychosexual therapist and counsellor who began her career in trauma-informed youth mental health and critical incident response prior to undertaking postgraduate studies in sexual and reproductive health. She is an Accredited Counsellor (Level 2) with the Australian Counselling Association, and a member of The Society of Australian Sexologists (SAS). Lily is passionate about sexual health and wellbeing. Lily’s experience with Melbourne IVF equips her with unique insight into the behind-the-scenes journey of individuals and couples accessing assisted reproductive technology (ART) and reproductive medicine, including IVF.

Lily can assist with desire and libido issues in relationships including mixed desire/mixed libido, and low libido.  Lily works with women’s sexual issues like sexual pain, vaginismus, anorgasmia as well as men’s sexual issues like erectile dysfunction, rapid ejaculation/premature ejaculation and delayed ejaculation. Lily has completed research on female orgasmic difficulties, and has interests in fertility counselling and sexuality education. Lily can also assist with management of anxiety and depression, stress, burnout, and grief and loss. Lily has provided mental health care to sexually and gender diverse communities including children, adolescents, and adults.

Lily adopts a person-centred and eclectic approach to counselling and psychosexual therapy, and works in collaboration with her clients to achieve positive outcomes. Lily is trained in and incorporates aspects of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), and narrative therapy. She aims to support, empower, and advocate for her client’s sexual and reproductive health and wellbeing, while maintaining a compassionate and empathic approach in her practice.

Lily has completed a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Master of Counselling from Monash University.  More recently Lily graduated her Master of Science in Medicine (Sexual and Reproductive Health) from the University of Sydney, specialising in Psychosexual Therapy.
